UCSF, GE Partner to Advance Artificial Intelligence in Radiology

Artificial intelligence (AI) is fast on its way to being part of routine practice in health care thanks to companies like IBM. Now, General Electric (GE) is throwing its hat in the ring with a recently announced partnership with the University of California San Francisco.

We’ve already talked about the benefits of IBM’s Watson, Google’s DeepMind, and medical apps that could help with diagnosis, treatment, and population monitoring. The collaboration with UCSF positions GE as another viable competitor in the growing health AI market.
