Samsung Medison has partnered with Intel for new smart workflow solutions to enhance obstetric measurements in order to improve maternal and fetal safety.
As part of the partnership, Samsung Medison’s BiometryAssist will leverage an Intel Core i3 processor, the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit and OpenCV library to automate and simplify fetal measurements.
These Intel technologies also enable the company’s LaborAssist to automatically identify the fetal angle of progression (AoP) during labour, offering a full understanding of a patient’s birthing progress while eliminating the need for invasive digital vaginal exams.
