Walgreens Boots Alliance and grocery giant The Kroger Co. are expanding their relationship to include a new group purchasing organization, an indication the partnership could broaden even more.
The new venture, called “Retail Procurement Alliance,” expands a blossoming partnership between Walgreens, the nation’s largest drugstore chain, and Kroger, which operates grocery stores and online food delivery across the U.S. The two companies are already combining Walgreens health and beauty products with the grocery giant’s popular brands in certain U.S. markets as part of a pilot.
