The annual cybersecurity event known as Black Hat officially ended just over a week ago, but of course the security issues and headlines continue unabated.
The publication Motherboard reported that Yahoo YHOO +3.57% is “aware” of a notorious cybercriminal advertising 200 million (alleged) Yahoo accounts on the dark web.
Andy Greenberg over at WIRED wrote about a wireless “hack” that can unlock 100 million Volkswagen’s. It’s basically an electronic design flaw that “applies to practically every car Volkswagen has sold since 1995.”
