Trump appoints Hargan as acting HHS secretary

President Donald Trump on Tuesday named Eric Hargan as his new acting HHS secretary.Hargan was confirmed as the deputy HHS secretary recently and was sworn in last week. He will take agency veteran Don Wright’s place as acting secretary in the wake of Dr. Tom Price’s resignation.Price resigned last month over his use of costly private jets for agency travel. Before joining the Trump administration, Hargan was a healthcare attorney at the Chicago-based law firm Greenberg Traurig. He previously worked on Trump’s transition team and at HHS during the George W. Bush administration.
