Drugstore giant CVS Health will hire 50,000 full and part-time workers and award bonuses for certain employees working to meet “unprecedented” need as the U.S. grapples with the outbreak of the Coronavirus strain Covid-19.
Calling it the “most ambitious hiring drive in the company’s history,” CVS announcement Monday is the latest from the retail pharmacy industry to beef up its workforce and pay existing employees bonuses. Walmart and Walgreens Boots Alliance have also announced plans to fill thousands of full and part-time positions.
