Read President Donald Trump’s budget proposal and you’ll find another repeal of former President Barack Obama’s health care law. The budget, unveiled Monday, eliminates the health care law’s premium subsidies, rolls back its Medicaid expansion and caps Medicaid spending — all in favor of block grants for state-sponsored health insurance programs.
Trump’s proposal, which also targets Medicare, isn’t law or expected to become one, but claw backs to Medicaid are clearly on the Republican-led government agenda.
