A study presented at the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery’s (SNIS) 15th Annual Meeting has found that a new stroke imaging technology called cone beam imaging could decrease delays in patient care by up to an hour, giving patients a better chance of making a full recovery.

The study is called New Multiple CT Assessment of Acute Stroke Patients: Are We Ready for Prime Time?, and has shown that recent advances in imaging software in the angiosuite can give neurointerventionalists the details required to diagnose patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) for an endovascular thrombectomy (EVT).
