The New York Times reported Thursday that new research indicates America’s coronavirus outbreak was spread by travelers from New York City—before social distancing and other mitigation efforts—with scientists and officials saying the findings mean the country didn’t act quickly enough to contain the virus.
The research suggests that the virus spread from New York City to states like Arizona, Louisiana and Texas, among others, before social distancing and other measures were implemented.
