2018 was an important year for the booming health-technology sector.

Also this past year, technology companies like Apple and Amazon explored opportunities to target their products to the medical sector, and they made some important hires to do that successfully. In reaction, the traditional health care companies, including pharmaceutical makers and health plans, forged their own partnerships with innovators to help them modernize their offerings and improve the consumer experience.
